Treyarch keeps dropping the ball on CoD WaW

You know, I've not been playing much Call of Duty these days. Ever since the enabling of map packs you may not own in the map rotation is making it all but impossible. So lately I've been spending more time doing work and revisiting the lovely land of Civilization Revolution (one of the best games on PS3!).

But, the last day or so I've really been wanting to kill some people so I've been trying to play. But, this almost forced map pack purchase is becoming an utter fucking joke. Factor in the normal call of duty world at war issues and such and you want me to pay $20 for more maps?

Look, I spent $10 on the first map pack, and it sucked complete ass. There's no good maps in it at all. First impressions count when my dollar is on the line. Now I'd be happy to buy the others if the previous one didn't suck and most importantly the game didn't have so many issues.

We can assume that from the last weeks of introducing the map packs in to normal non-map pack rotation that this is a deseperation attempt by Treyarch to get more sales. I would further assume that most, like myself, have grown tired of supporting the lost cause that is Call of Duty World at War.

You see, a new CoD is coming out: Modern Warfare 2. This isn't made by Treyarch (thank god) and I'm sure most people opted not to buy the new map packs because they will be dropping WaW once MW2 comes out. I'll probably be one of those, though I'm unsure if I'll continue on the CoD series. I'm ready to move on from WW2 shooters. I've been playing them since Wolf 3D.

But none the less, there's now what seems to be every single map in the rotation on non-map pack setting. It used to appear that only Banzi, Corrosion, and Sub Pens were in the rotation but now there's 4 or 5 new ones I've seen since yesterday.

Now, you know how 95% of all FPS players are really not too good? Well, the same goes for this game. So most of the normal maps are skipped depending on what people hate them for. ie, maybe airfield and cliffside are skipped due to snipper hateage, while dome might be skipped by noobs for fear of rapage, and of course, most tank maps (atleast selo and often downfall, most don't mind outskirts or roundhouse as much it seems) are skipped.

So, there's like, only short ranged smg maps that get constant love and now I've been reduced to an average of 1/8 shot of getting in to a new game. It's ridiculious.

I've been playing about 3 hours the last two days (each day). I've spent probably 40 minutes of those trying to find a game. It's ridiculious. This game is getting worse and worse.

You know, Treyarch, your shady tactic almost worked. I was like hmmm maybe, just maybe .... I'll buy these map packs so I can fucking play but then I realized I already spend $60 on the game which is supposed to let me play online for free, but now you want me to pay $20 more (some people need to pay $30 still) to be able to play? That's a joke. Your game is worth no where near $90.

To the idiots who keep tossing their money at this failure of a company I can only wonder why. I know, out there, some where, the moon and stars are all aligned with Jupiter and someone has the ability to actually use their friends list. These people probably only play in groups so it's fun and their team doesn't blow. These people can probably host games everytime so that every 1 minute into a new game the host can't leave because they are getting owned. Lastly, these people are also probably the ones promoting the map packs because everything works how it should so they do not see a problem with it.

Boy, if only Treyarch made the game work like that for me; like it was intended. But instead I'm left with never being able to host a game even though I'm on broadband. It's probably related to the issue revolving around my friends list in which I cannot ever invite or accept invites from people on it, rendering it useless. My team almost always sucks balls making it hardly any fun.

Like I said, shame on you Treyarch, I almost bought the map packs just to play but instead I wrote this to remind myself, and others, to not give you anymore of our money. Fix the freaking problems, stop making map packs and I'll gladly give you more money.
