Bing or Google? I've been using Bing

It's actually been kind of suprising but I don't really miss Google. I do miss their toolbar, though.
I started using Bing a few weeks back, mainly because I have felt for a while that google's serps are... lacking, and becoming atrociously filled with garbage and lots of it. Too focused on ads, not enough on search.
Websites such as Yahoo Q&A, WikiAnwsers, even Wikipedia, and many others do not need 100 entries clogging the serps. I suppose my main beef are with all these for-profit (and non-profit alike) websites, such as good ol WikiAnwsers or Yahoo who have cluttered my precious SERPS with junk. I used to spend minutes on google finding what I need. Now I spend hours.
It's not just Google Search that I've become less than fond of lately. I've used AdWords off/on for a few years, and have tried parts of AdSense (domains and site publishing) and didn't like it either. I prefer my privacy way too much to ever use gmail so I don't use anything on Google apart from the search.
Bing, on the other hand, has done a great job of returing SERPS. Sure, maybe sometimes it's not as good as googles but most times it's no where near as bad as Googles. Google's interface is weak compared to Bing as well. Bing does a superior job is grouping data, offering suggestions and related searchs and is far superior in localized stuff such as map/direction type things. That is, the implementation of, of course.
One thing Bing has failed at is their toolbar. I tried the MSN toolbar but it was wretched. It opened every new search in a new tab. I like tabs, you know, but not 100 of them. I'm a search junkie. Google made me that way. It's your problem to deal with.
I would love nothing more than to see a simplistic minimalist type of toolbar for bing. Not for MSN, or anything, purely for Bing. And for the love of god don't make it as flashy and eye candyed out as the MSN one. That thing looked hideous.
Back to the topic at hand. I'm like that one commerical. I "set it and forget it". I set my default homepage to Bing a few weeks back and the only time I use google now is when I use their toolbar on occassion. I do not want to bing or google's index to use their engine... it shouldn't be that way, but for bing, it is.
Now I don't know much about "decision engine" or anything like that, but if you want a nice looking, fast, pretty relevant to the average person search engine give Bing a shot. I'm semi Anti-Microsoft but I have taken to bing and hope it continues development in the right direction. Microsoft, after over a decade, has a viable search engine right now that can compete with Yahoo. That's right, Yahoo. Bing cannot compete with Google [yet] because Yahoo needs to be used as a stepping stone. I came to Google in 2003 (?), 2002 maybe, from Yahoo search. If you use Yahoo you usually end up on Google. I still Yahoo here and there but their engine hasn't done much in years. So... beat Yahoo, then conquer google.
For now, I will continue to use Bing until I find some big problem with it, which currently is only the lack of a good toolbar (or is there one I can't find?). I consider this crucial to using their engine outside of their homepage (which is what I commonly do. I'd say 95% of my searches are from toolbar)
Google can have me back, but they need to seriously work on their serps and not their ads. Do both at the same time, I don't care, but I've been on a continous decline of loving Google for a while now. I will always love to be ranked high in their engine, but I no longer enjoy digging through it for results.
Is it possible in 5 or 10 years to have a new search giant? Absolutely, and it's more than likely. Google, like most, have become too big and greedy to focus on search and overtime as they continue to try to takeover the world [ala Microsoft] someone will arise from the depths who only care about search and wisk the title away from Google and bring us to the next level. Will that be Bing? Erm.... I'm not sure on that [yet], it's not worth speculation until they can topple Yahoo. Maybe they could make it a portal fight. Yahoo.com vs MSN.com loser's search engine leaves town.
