I'm just dieing without my Playstation 3

I've been having some issues for the last month or so (around the time I finished up Drake's Fortune). It often isn't recognizing discs and when it does they play barely but generally not at all. It takes constantly retrying (I'm talking 30minutes or so here people...) to get it to work. Then, during play, the sound will loop/skip/go completly out. Finally this week it's gotten to the point I can't really even be bothered with it.

I searched for anwsers on why this was happening but it really was a chore to find the information. Lately, Google has not been the best I've seen it on giving me good results, but I eventually came to the conclusion that my lens has to be really dirty.

I bought the PS3 for my birthday last year, so I've had it around a year. My birthday is July 4th, so it was just here. I have to admit, in this whole year I've never really dusted it or anything and when I play it I play it for a long time. Sometimes I can't play it for a week or several days it all depends on what's going on. But, as I was saying, it has to be the lens since when I can get the games to play they play without a hitch. They're not scratched either.

I found what seems to be the perfect solution online two days ago. It's called "Maxell BR-LC Blu-ray Lens Cleaner" or something. Lots of people saying it fixed their PS3 which had identical problem. Now, I could take it apart and clean it myself but I'd rather be out $20 for a no good product than $500 for a no good PS3. That said, I made the purchase from Amazon.com and overnighted it. I miss Call of Duty that much!. Enough to pay $22 in fees... welp, it didn't come today even though it was supposed to! Their site tells you how long you have to buy something before it's no longer going to get there by tommorrow with overnight shipping.

I complained to Amazon of course, and they said they have issued a refund on the shipping charge. I've not seen it yet, but I know it can take a few days to reflect on a credit card. I issue lots of refunds myself to customers and sometimes it takes a bit to show so I'll give them a few days.

It says it will come Monday. Damn, that's so long to wait. I'm just dieing without my Playstation 3. There's NOTHING TO DO and it's become so fucking boring online these days that I cannot stand to be online unless I'm working anymore. There's less than 10 websites out of the 1000000 million zillion googabillion that I care to even go to, but that's another rant entirely.

Hurry up, damnit. I'm going crazy. I have had these two games Resistance: Fall of Man and Resident Evil 5 from GameFly sitting here for a week and a half. I installed RE5 and of course once I came back later (I turned it off after installing to watch Deadliest Catch) it didn't recognize the disc so I couldn't even try it out. Bummer....

I'll let you know if this Maxell cleaner fixes my problem. It was pretty cheap too. If only it could fix my PS3 remote that broke by falling a whooping 3 foot off my mini fridge. That damn thing was $25!

Till then, I guess ... I'll .... surf the web and be bored. Maybe watch some of that good ol TV.
