Dexter: OMG! They killed Rita. You bastards!

So tonight was the season finale of Dexter. It's been one hell of a great season. I thought season 3 was intense, but damn, Mister Lithgow you rock.

To be completly honest here.. the finale was not as good as I had expected, but by no means did I think it was subpar or anything. I don't really want to talk about anything other than the fact they killed Rita.

Who saw that coming? not me and I'm sure not you. I really liked Rita (she's not only hot as fuck, but without her Dexter's character would not be where he is today) but seriously, a bathtub? I understand it might be ironic that both Dexter and his child were "born in blood" but the bathtub made no sense. A statement? Maybe, but why would Trinity choose this method when it was reserved for single females with no children. I didn't get that and thought that was a cheesy way to kill her because as we've seen for most the season Trinity kills people in set ways for set reasons. Rita fits none of them.

Sure, it might be easier for the baby to sit in the blood if it had came from the bathtub but a pool that size can just as easily be made from a stabbing or many other methods. I guess my beef is just the way he killed her, even though I would prefer her to not be dead. If this was another show I'd hold out hope it was a dream/nightmare or something similar but Dexter doesn't fuck around with any of that and I'm pretty sure she's really dead.

OK, so what else happened in the episode? Go watch it. I'm not here to disect the episode I'm too much of a fan to any real faults. I'll tell you this though, as if my title didn't devulge the information for you but the last scene of the show is going to really piss you off!
