Hmm.. so what else about me? I'm a fan of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). You might have heard of one MMA promotion called UFC. I'm also in to a computers. I actually have somewhere around 9. I like to do custom modifications and electronics to them. I quit modding a while ago but have an immense amount of supplies sitting out in the shop. If I get back in to modding I'll definitly start doing worklogs and I'll write a gallery for it

I've been a web developer for 11 years now and it's definitly my biggest passion. I've been programming since 1995, and have since taught myself lots of various programming and scripting languages for all kinds of platforms, though I generally stick to the web now and have for several years.

There's really not much else to say about me. I'm pretty much just another spec of dust in the cosmos....

Well lets see here.. back in 2007 I figured to take a break from my normal routine of work, work, and more work I'd create a blog like everyone else online. Initially I used WordPress and tried to update a few times but just didn't really get in to it. I found myself writing posts only to delete them before I'd click the submit button. To make matters worse, I forgot my password and couldn't login for over a year! Besides that the theme was so general that it was too hard to get any viewers

That was then, this is now. Welcome to 2009! I ditched WordPress for my own custom coded blog and I'm really enjoying it. It has everything I want! Nothing more, nothing less, and it has that semi-unique feel that mass software cannot bring. As you can see by the April 2009 blog archives I've definitly enjoyed the new blog and plan to use it for a long time.

The website itself coded in in PHP 5.x and mySQL 5.x with just a weee bit of JavaScripting.

Allow me to sum up my online existance in a few short paragraphs. Okay, here we go, and remember: I'm only doing this in the off chance that someone from my past might stumble upon my site some day.

It started in 1996 on AOL in the chat rooms harrassing people. Fast forward to 1997 and I got on mIRC. I quickly got addicted to chatting and my online persona GrimZ was born. He reigned supreme for the next 4 years and became one of the most loved and hated people in the entire mIRC scripting community when I built the website scriptaz.com. In 2002, bored with the community and needing to make a living I took my skills I developed while making the scriptaz site and freelanced for the next year doing odd programming jobs. That was the death of GrimZ and birth of Bryan, my new "Corporate" persona.

Bryan (it's fun to referance yourself in the third person!), aka DarktidesNET, decided to get in to the web hosting business and formed Darktides Communications LLC and quickly became well known in the industry even becoming a moderator on webhostingtalk.com the #1 webhosting forum in the world. Partnering up with my brother in law we enjoyed a few years of success but eventually we parted ways and Darktides cease to take new customers and only cattered to local clients and the existing base. This is where Bryan takes a back seat in the corporate world and stumbles in to his next venture while enjoying two of the greatest games ever on the computer.

By now, since work was so slow as I had gone back to freelance, I often played video games online. Forming a clan called eXcessive Force (xf::) in the Soldier of Fortune 2 game (the best FPS EVER!) occupied lots of my time and we were really good, but it seems we all got addicted to Diablo 2 one day while on Ventrillo perparing for a CAL match. So I eventually became my typical "I need to domainte" self, which isn't so bad as it had brought me success in the past, and climbed the ladder to be one of the most infamous people in the game. bterrill was born in 2003-2004. I'm most known for causing havoc and things I've never done but also for developing and creating the D2supplies diablo 2 store, which turned out to be what occupied, and still does, my time till this very day. I've also developed numerous other Diablo 2 related sites over the last 5-6 years along side D2supplies.

Currently I'm working on a few different projects with a few more in the background. The current projects are listed below and I will delete them once they move to the point I only tweak them here and there but a lot of these are completly new.

A Free Web Directory - AFWD is my web directory project with a different approach the all the current ones. It's pretty much still in its infancy, but we'll see how it goes in a few months

Darktides Web Hosting Solutions - Darktides, version 5, is my corporate webhosting and domain name registration service provider. I've been involved in the hosting industry since 2001, whilst Darktides Communications was LLC was legally formed in 2003.

My Free Game Arcade - MFGA is my free online arcade game site, which is still currently being designed and since I'm new to PhotoShop I hope to have it in development mode within a few weeks.

A few more projects on-going in the background but not quite worthy of a mention. Apart from these I still maintain several of my e-commerce sites fulltime right now.

Like I can predict the future! Just joking. I'm working on buying a new place this year. Personally, I'd prefer some land out in the boonies (but within 15-20 minutes of town) that has high speed internet (seems unlikely), but we'll see. As long as the town is not too big I'll be okay =]

Not really sure what else to put here right now. I honestly don't think much about the future; I prefer to live in the moment.
