It appears Blizzard is finally planning a Diablo 2 ladder reset on March 25th, 2010 (3-25-2010). It's been a long time coming. Does this mean the release of the 1.13 patch? I'm not sure, but probably.

Ball Pythons - A money trap?

I've not had a ball python since 1994. I got my first in 1993. It was my first snake ever. It was very fun. I never had the feeding issues most do but it died around a year after I had it. I remember I was feeding on what I'll say "not one piece" substrate. It was Repti-Bark actually. At that time I obviously did not know the dangers of a snake swallowing such substrate (same can be said for Cypress, Aspen, and a slew of other things) but none the less a piece lodged vertically half way down it's back. It got backed up, it would not eat, it died... a few other husbandry mistakes were made on my part as well.

Dexter: Episode "Hungry Man" was mind blowing

I don't often write about the shows I watch except sometimes LOST. I'll mention MMA cards too from time to time but I've been watching Dexter for a while now. Since season 2 came on (but I bought all of them so I've seen s1) and it's always been a great show to me. It's a show you either love or hate but none the less after the last season I knew this season would be pretty intense, but Miguel was such a good character (and well played) I wasn't sure what they would do to top it. Enter John Lithgow. Every season Dexter has a new nemisis or rival if you will, so every season is pretty fresh. The Trinity story has to be one of the best yet and John is simply superb. He plays Trinity so well it's scary. It reminds me of Michael Emmerson (Bin Linus) on LOST. John's character is very creepy but harmless looking in the same way.

CoD MW2 coming and my PS3 is broken

Yeah, so, I broke my PS3 the other day trying to clean it. I've isolated the issue to when inserting a disc it doesn't properly get seated in to the reading mechanism(ish) thing. So you put it in, it makes the 'insert noise' about 5 seconds to long and I got no top right loading icon.

I have just fixed a ridiculious bug in the blog browser. When you requested a category (ie, Games) it would display mini version of the post, but I also was parsing out the blog codes in the mini version which created the issue of sometimes not completing a tag due to the post being truncated.

All because Josh Barnett has tested positive for some steroid or something or the other. This sucks for many reasons. First off, Affliction doesn't put out but a few shows a year, and the last one was a while back. This isn't good for that reason alone. Secondly, we have the Fedor vs Barnett fight. Probably the biggest fight in MMA since Fedor vs Cro Cop and now it's gone before it started. That's truely a shame.

I've been having some issues for the last month or so (around the time I finished up Drake's Fortune). It often isn't recognizing discs and when it does they play barely but generally not at all. It takes constantly retrying (I'm talking 30minutes or so here people...) to get it to work. Then, during play, the sound will loop/skip/go completly out. Finally this week it's gotten to the point I can't really even be bothered with it.

So it was a jammed packed weekend on the virtual battlefield. I played way too much Call of Duty World at War, but that's not my fault. They extended the double xp by one day. So what started as a 4am "I'll play till they stop at 9am" turned in to so many hours of playing (because they didn't shut it off) that it's almost embarrassing how long I sat there owning noobs.

Finally, we're getting a double experience weekend for call of duty world at war! I've been waiting for a few weeks for this. It's supposed to start today (hasn't yet, even though it says it has..) with the launch of the new Map Pack 2 -- I won't be buying this map pack. I've got little interest because the last one only had one good map in it and there's too many issues with the game yet to be resolved.

I'll admit, the last time I seriously coded JavaScript (like, a LOT of it, and complex code) was atleast 7 years ago, if not more like 9-10. That's not to say I've not wrote Javascript since then, but the last time I used it often was on the last community site I wrote, which ended in 2002. For the majority, I've only used bits of it for simple error checking or related things.

I have to tell you that I'm serious this time. I've tried to do graphics in the past a few times but never really seriously. I'll tell you it's been a heck of a week I've spent in PS, but I'm happy to report progress is being made. I am figuring things out. I am creating graphics without running to other people. It's cool to know that maybe one day I'll be good enough at Photoshop to be able to make a lot of the websites I want. Currently it's more like I pay others to do most of my graphics. The quality of mine aren't on par to theres but give me time.

Heroes Season Finale

Heroes season 3 wrapped up last night with a bang. A lot happened in the episode that's kind of interesting. First off, what is up with Hiro's bleeding? It reminds me of the LOST time flashes but it seems everytime he uses his power after "baby touch and go" gave him his time control back he starts to bleed and have some kind of health problem. Surely Hiro can't lose his power! He is the best character on the show. Afterall, "Bruce Wayne only sleeps 2 hours a night" LMAO! One of the best lines of the night.

I've got so much stuff piling up on my DVR these days since I started some new projects but I finally got caught up on The Ultimate Fighter Season 9, and so far it seems more of the same as far as what's going on in house. Already have some petty games being played, played primarily by one one person on Team USA's team. It's obvious this guy is nervous or attention-starved as he's the one who always initates it. His plan is not working though, because I don't even know his name and now refer to him as "guy who should of been on The Ultimate Writer" -- writing on people's clothes? That's retarded.

Alright, let me explain the topic. When you move past the development stage and in to marketing your website then you're probably going to be spending lots of time in Google Webmaster Tools, querying all 3 engines [Google,Yahoo,MSN], and I'd encourage one to also browse around a bit one one of the better webmaster forums [ie, webmasterworld or a good SEO blog], but anyways I'm finding more and more the SERPS being cluttered with garbage, and I have no way of turning it off. I'll explain a bit better.

I've found that I actually have a lot of free time if I don't sleep. So while my insomnia still keeps hold of me I decided to fix some issues with my bullet lists in Firefox. I ended up doing a lot more in the process. I'm not really sure why but I enjoy messing about with this site. I think it's because I don't actually have any regular people who come here other than one or two. I suppose when your site sucks that you enjoy it more? No, that don't make sense, but I definitly don't feel this motivated to work on my more established sites.

I don't have an extreme amount of PS3 games, around 25, but many of them lack replay value. One thing I love about PS3 is the free online store (and free online in general). You can download lots of demos and such for free. I often check out the PS3 game demo section. One game I tried out around 2 months ago was Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution. I remember playing Civ on the PC god knows how long ago. I'm sure some of you do too. Now, I was having a bit of nostalgia and decided to download it. That's where the addiction began.

Strikeforce on Showtime Debut was Impressive

I had imagined that Strikeforce would not keep the EliteXC feel of things on Showtime/CBS and I'm glad I was right. I sure did not miss the bimbo cheerleaders.

Alright, so here's the story. The last year or so I've been taking it very easy, spending most of my time with my girl. I've been working maybe 3-5 hours a week at best, but took October till March off (nice, I know).

So maybe I found the fatal flaw to my DSL

So about about 2-2 1/2 years ago or so I swapped from Charter Cable to AT&T/Yahoo DSL. I had used Charter for around 5 years and it always had reliability problems. At times it would go out every day, multiple times, and always at the worst times. Sometimes it would go out for weeks (notice I said sometimes not once in a while or rarely ). Now, don't get me wrong, when it was stable it was fantastic, but the issues remained constant and I just couldn't take it.

Call of Duty World at War on Playstation 3 is irritating me

Sometimes it seems that the world is against me when I try to play Call of Duty World at War online. It's not that the game isn't good or anything there's just some issues I have with the game and the Playstation 3 Online in general.

Yeah, so, don't mind any of the broken links or blank pages. I put it online a bit earlier than I might normally make a website live but I had to get rid of WordPress and get this up before I hurled at the old site.

It's not like it's hard enough to figure what to write about, there's no real theme to this site or anything, but I don't really care for WordPress. I've wrote my own site code since 1999 and everytime I try good(see, I didn't say WordPress sucks) mainstream software I just can't get used to it. I prefer my own stuff.

It all started when I was around 16. I think every kid dreams of a sports car but I had this thing for the Firehawk. For those who do not know what a Firehawk is it's basically a Trans Am that goes to SLP (Street Legal Performance) for tons of enhancements/upgrades and comes back with a whole lot more bling and power.

I just got a Yahoo message from an old buddy who I haven't talked to in a long time. We used to be competitors, but also friends, in an industry around 2 1/2 years ago up until roughly 1 year ago, maybe 1 year 2-3 months tops. I really didn't know what to think when I saw his message because I've not seen him in so long, but turns out he's been quite the busy guy. How busy? Apparently if getting your Masters wasn't hectic enough, or raising your new child, how about being the top guy out of 800,000+ people in the biggest open poker tournament ever? Yeah, I can see why he's not been around.

Are all domain registrars crooked?

I swear all domain registrars now days are crooked. What's worse are the idiots who run the ICANN and their "5 day refund" policy. It just screams "abuse this feature". I understand some people want to actually park ads on a domain name and nothing more, and that's fine, but do you ever notice that domains which were at one time established are in a constant ad serving setup? I mean, these things "expired" sometimes YEARS ago, yet they're so locked with renew/delete/update/transfer/inventmorewords update status you can never get them. Backorders? Ha, I've wasted enough on those only for them to still be magically continue serving ads.

Anyone else think Wireless Networking kind of sucks?

It seems almost daily or weekly that the laptop on my wireless network has some problems getting access to it. Sure, we can go out in the garage and tap in to any of the three, sometimes up to 7, of our neighbors un-secured networks but what's the point? I specifically setup my network for 128 bit encryption and that seems to be the on-going issue.

Are we as a country just becoming dumber?

I run a few businesses and I've been through many employees, for each one, since 2002. Almost everytime it's generally the same thing. It boils down to these people, mostly adults, repeatidly mess up the simplest things. Take basic math for example. You know, 1 + 1 = 4 , err.. wait, it's not 4! That's the point; it's 2. Either way, I've become not only frustrated by the [lack of] education these people claim to have but obviously don't but I'm getting worried by time I'm 40 or 50 that the country will be ran by people who are bigger idiots than the people I've been dealing with. It's like if the task seems too easy there will be mistakes. Something similar to Murphy's Law, in a way. But how can people repeatidly make such trivial mistakes? I have no clue.

I guess it's also my first post. I don't really blog so don't expect much for now. I'm also generally the one writing my web applications not downloading one so it might take me a while to figure out WordPress in general.
